Pune Police Raid Late-Night Rave Party, Detain NCP Leader Rohini Khadse’s Husband Along With 6 Others

Pune Police raided a rave party in Kharadi early Sunday and detained seven people, including Pranjal Khewalkar, husband of NCP leader Rohini Khadse. Pune City Police carried out a late-night raid at a rave party held inside a studio apartment in the upscale Kharadi area early Sunday morning. During the operation, police detained Pranjal Khewalkar, husband of NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Rohini Khadse and son-in-law of former Maharashtra minister Eknath Khadse. long with Khewalkar, a total of seven people were taken into custody. Police found banned substances, including cocaine, during the search.

7 Detained, Drugs and Liquor Seized

According to the Crime Branch, the raid happened around 3 a.m. in the morning. In addition to Khewalkar, the police also detained 4 men and 2 women. The police confirmed that drugs such as cocaine and marijuana, along with alcohol, were recovered from the spot.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar told The Indian Express that Pranjal Khewalkar will be arrested soon. “Right now, he is in custody. The arrest procedure is ongoing... he will be arrested,” the officer stated.

An officer from the Crime Branch said that, “We got a tip about a rave party happening at a flat in Kharadi. We raided the place early in the morning and caught seven people. One of them is Pranjal Khewalkar. Tests at the spot showed they had cocaine and marijuana.

Police Begin Deeper Investigation

Police officials are completing the required procedures at the raid site, including detailed inspection and documentation. Once formalities are done, a case will be filed.

At this time, no one has been formally arrested, but seven individuals have been detained for questioning. Authorities have also launched a detailed investigation to find out who supplied the drugs and how deep the illegal network goes. Sources suggest that more people might be named as the case develops.
